참석, 학술자료 수집, 그 밖에 이와 유사한 목적으로 단기간동안 체류하려는 사람
ㅇ 국내 의료기관에서 진료 또는 요양할 목적으로 입국하는 외국인 환자와 간병 등을 위해 동반입국이 필요한
동반가족 및 간병인
ㅇ 시장조사, 업무연락, 상담, 계약, 소규모 무역활동 등 상용활동자 및 비자없이 입국하는 APEC카드 소지한 사람
ㅇ 법무부 장관이 우대기업으로 선정한 기업이나 단체로부터 초청을 받은 사람
ㅇ 「재외동포의 출입국과 법적 지위에 관한 법률」에 따른 만 60세 미만 외국국적동포
ㅇ 휴가 또는 여가를 이용하여 대한민국을 관광할 목적으로 방문하는 사람
a. A person who plans to stay for a short period of time on the purpose of visiting relatives, investing in public business, participating in a non-official sport games, attending events or meetings, performing cultural art, engaging in a training, taking lessons, attending a religious ceremony, collecting documents for academic research, or any other equivalent activities.
b. A patient who plans to enter Korea for medical treatment or recuperation by a local medical institution in ROK, or a caregiver (including family member) of a patient.
c. Person who plans to engage in commercial activities such as market research, business meetings, consultation, signing a contract, or small-scale international trading or an APEC card holder visiting Korea without a visa.
d. A person who has been invited by a company or an organization designated by the Minister of Justice of ROK as a preferential company.
e. A person who is an overseas Korean with a foreign nationality and below the age of 60 defined by「Act on the Immigration and Legal Status of Overseas Koreans」
f. A person who plans to visit Korea on the purpose of travel for holidays or leisure.
Short-Term Employee(C-4)
ㅇ 일시 흥행, 광고ㆍ패션 모델, 강의ㆍ강연, 연구, 기술지도 등 수익을 목적으로 단기간 취업활동을 하려는 사람
a. A person who plans to visit for a short-term employment such as temporary show, advertising·modeling, lecturing·speeching, research, technology consulting, etc
Study(D-2)
ㅇ 고등교육법의 규정에 의하여 설립된 전문대학, 대학, 대학원 또는 특별법의 규정에 의하여 설립된 전문대학
이상의 학술기관에서 정규과정(전문학사ㆍ학사ㆍ석사ㆍ박사)의 교육을 받고자 하는 사람
ㅇ 고등교육법의 규정에 의하여 설립된 전문대학, 대학, 대학원 또는 특별법의 규정에 의하여 설립된 전문대학
이상의 학술기관에서 특정의 연구를 하고자 하는 사람
ㅇ 대학 간 학사교류 협정에 의해 정규과정 중 일정 기간동안 교육을 받고자 하는 교환학생
a. A person who plans to enroll for a associate, bachelor, master or doctoral degree in a college, undergraduate/graduate college established in accordance with Higher Education Act, or a college established in accordance with the Special Act
b. A person who plans to engage in a specific research at a college, undergraduate/graduate college established in accordance with Higher Education Act, or a college established in accordance with the Special Act
c. An exchange student who plans to study for a required course/curriculum in accordance with an agreement of exchange program between corresponding universities
Language Training(D-4)
ㅇ 고등학교 이하의 학교 재학생 또는 고등학교 졸업 이상의 학력 소지자로 고등교육법의 규정에 의하여 설립된
고등교육기관 또는 외국교육기관 부설 어학원에서 한국어 어학연수를 하고자 하는 사람
ㅇ 고등학교 이하 교육기관에서 교육을 받고자 하는 학생
ㅇ 고등학교 이하의 학교 재학생 또는 고등학교 졸업 이상의 학력 소지자로 고등교육법의 규정에 의하여 설립된
고등교육기관 또는 외국교육기관 부설 어학원에서 외국어 어학연수를 하고자 하는 사람
a. A person with at least high school diploma or the equivalent, or a current student of high school or below, who plans to study Korean language at an academic institution affiliated with a foreign academic institution in ROK or at a tertiary education center established in accordance with the Higher Education Act
b. A person who plans to study at an academic institution equivalent to high school or below
c. A person who is currently attending to high school or below, or who has a high school diploma or above, plans to learn foreign language at a language institution affiliated with a foreign academic institution in ROK or at a tertiary education center established in accordance with the Higher Education Act
Intra-Company Transfer(D-7)
ㅇ 외국의 공공기관, 단체 또는 회사의 본사, 지사, 기타 사업소 등에서 1년 이상 근무한 자로서 대한민국에 있는
그 계열회사, 자회사, 지점 또는 사무소 등에 필수전문인력으로 파견되어 근무하는 사람
ㅇ 국내 상장법인 또는 공공기관이 설립한 해외 현지법인이나 해외지점에서 1년 이상 근무한 자로서 대한민국에
있는 그 본사나 본점에 파견되어 전문적인 지식ㆍ기술 또는 기능을 제공하거나 전수받으려는 사람
ㅇ 자유무역협정(FTA) 내용에 따른 기업 내 전근자
ㅇ 자유무역협정(FTA) 내용에 따른 당사국 회사간 계약에 따라 일방국 회사에 소속된 직원이 대한민국에
파견되어 계약서비스를 공급하거나 지원하는 사람
a. A person who has worked for at least 1 year or more at a foreign public institution or headquarters / branch / or any other offices of a foreign company, and is dispatched to the affiliates, subsidiary, or branch in ROK in a field requiring expertise
b. A person who has worked for at least 1 year or more at an overseas corporation or branch of a public organization or a listed company, and is dispatched to headquaters or head office in ROK for training or teaching professional knowledge·technology
c. Transferee of a corporation under FTA
d. An employee affiliated with a company of in an FTA contract and is dispatched to ROK for providing or supporting contract services
Job Seeker(D-10)
ㅇ 교수(E-1)ㆍ회화지도(E-2)ㆍ연구(E-3)ㆍ기술지도(E-4)ㆍ전문직업(E-5)ㆍ예술흥행(E-6)*ㆍ특정활동(E-7) 자격에
해당하는 분야에 취업하기 위해 연수나 구직활동 등을 하려는 사람
- 국내 기업, 단체 등에서 행하는 구직활동 뿐만 아니라 정식 취업 전에 연수비를 받고 행하는 단기 인턴과정도 포함됨
* 단, 예술흥행(E-6) 자격 중 유흥업소 등의 흥행활동(E-6-2)은 제외되며, 순수예술 및 스포츠 분야만 허용됨
ㅇ 기업투자(D-8) 자격 ‘다’목*에 해당하는 기술창업 준비 등을 하려는 자
- 창업이민교육프로그램 참가, 지식재산권 등 특허출원 준비 및 출원, 창업법인 설립 준비 등 창업과 관련된 제반 준비활동
a. A person who plans to engage in a training or find a job in a field qualified for a visa of Professor(E-1), Foreign Language Instructor(E-2), Research(E-3), Technical Instructor/Technician(E-4), Professional(E-5), Artist/Athlete(E-6), and Foreign National of Special Ability(E-7)
- The activities not only include a job seeking or on-the-job training (including short-term paid internship) at an organization or company in ROK
* The activities related to Artist/Athlete(E-6) status only includes pure art or sports, and excludes adult entertainment businesses.
b. A person who plans to establish a start-up business qualified in the item of C of D-8 Corporate Investment
- You can participate in the OASIS programs, or apply for intellectual property rights or business establishment etc.
Professor(E-1)
ㅇ 「고등교육법」에 따른 자격요건을 갖춘 외국인으로서 전문대학 이상의 교육기관이나 이에 준하는 기관에서
전문 분야의 교육 또는 연구ㆍ지도 활동에 종사하려는 사람
a. A person who meets the qualifications stated in the 「Higher Education Act」, and plans to engage in education or research·guidance of the professional field at educational institutions of higher than the college level or any of the equivalents
Language Instructor(E-2)
ㅇ 법무부장관이 정하는 자격요건을 갖춘 외국인으로서 외국어전문학원, 초등학교 이상의 교육기관 및 부설어학
연구소, 방송사 및 기업체 부설 어학연수원, 그 밖에 이에 준하는 기관 또는 단체에서 외국어 회화지도에 종사
하려는 사람
ㅇ 법무부장관이 정하는 자격요건을 갖춘 외국인으로서 교육부장관(시·도 교육감)과 고용계약을 체결하고 초·중·
고등학교에서 외국어보조교사로 근무하고자 하는 사람
ㅇ 당사자간 협정에 의한 자격요건을 갖춘 외국인으로서 외국어전문학원, 초등학교 이상의 교육기관 및 부설어학
연구소, 방송사 및 기업체 부설 어학연수원, 그 밖에 이에 준하는 기관 또는 단체에서 외국어 회화지도에 종사
하려는 사람
a. A person who meets the qualifications determined by the Minister of Justice, and plans to teach conversational language at a foreign language institute, affiliated- language research institute or educational institute of higher than elementary school, or language training institute affiliated with an enterprise or broadcasting company, or other equivalent organization
b. A person who meets the qualifications determined by the Minister of Justice of ROK and has signed an employment contract with the Minister of Education (or superintendent of a school district) to teach foreign language at an elementary, middle, or high school as an assistant teacher
c. A person who meets the qualifications of the Agreement between the parties involved, and plans to teach conversational language at a foreign language institute, affiliated- language research institute or educational institute of higher than elementary school, or language training institute affiliated with an enterprise or broadcasting company, or other equivalent organization
Researcher(E-3)
ㅇ 대한민국 내 공ㆍ사 기관으로부터 초청을 받아 각종 연구소에서 자연과학 분야의 연구 또는 산업상 고도기술의 연구ㆍ개발에 종사하려는 사람
* 단, 교수(E-1) 체류자격에 해당하는 사람은 제외
a. A person who plans to engage in research and development of advanced industrial technology or natural science field at research laboratories upon invitation by a Korean public/private institute in ROK [However, a person who falls under the E-1 Professor status is excluded]
Technical Instructor(E-4)
ㅇ 자연과학 분야의 전문지식 또는 산업상 특수한 분야에 속하는 기술을 제공하기 위하여 대한민국 내 공ㆍ사 기관으로부터
초청을 받아 종사하려는 사람
a. A person who plans to provide professional knowledge of natural science or technology guidance related to an area categorized as industrially special upon invitation by a Korean public or private institute in ROK
Professional(E-5)
ㅇ 대한민국 법률에 따라 자격이 인정된 외국의 변호사, 공인회계사, 의사, 그 밖에 국가공인 자격이 있는 사람으로 대한민국 법률에 따라 할 수 있도록 되어 있는 법률, 회계, 의료 등의 전문업무에 종사하려는 사람
* 단, 교수(E-1) 체류자격에 해당하는 사람은 제외
a. A person with a national certificate such as a foreign lawyer, certified public accountant, doctor, etc. under the laws of the Republic of Korea who plans to engage in professional work in legal, accounting, medical and other fields prescribed by the laws of the Republic of Korea [However, a person who falls under the E-1 Professor status is excluded]
Artist(E-6)
ㅇ 수익이 따르는 음악, 미술, 문학 등의 예술활동 및 전문 방송연기에 해당하는 자와 공연법의 규정에 의한 전문
연예활동에 종사하는 사람
ㅇ 관광진흥법에 의한 호텔업시설, 유흥업소 등에서 공연 또는 연예활동에 종사하는 사람
* 단, 음악, 미술, 문학 등의 예술활동, 전문 방송연기, 또는 공연법의 규정에 의한 전문 연예활동은 해당 안됨
ㅇ 축구, 야구, 농구 등 프로 운동선수 및 그 동행 매니저 등으로 운동 분야에 종사하는 사람
a. A person who plans to engage in profitable activities such as music, fine arts, and literature, or professional acting, or professional entertainment activities in accordance with the Public Performance Act
b. A person who plans to engage in performance or entertainment activities at hotel business facilities and adult entertainment facilities in accordance with Tourism Promotion Acts. (Any form of activities such as music, fine arts, and literature, professional acting, or professional entertainment in accordance with the Public Performance Act are not included.)
c. A person who plans to engage in a sports industry such as a professional soccer, baseball, or basketball player, and their accompanying managers etc.
Special Ability(E-7)
ㅇ 대한민국 내의 공ㆍ사기관 등과의 계약에 따라 법무부장관이 국가경쟁력 강화 등을 위해 전문적인 지식·기술
또는 기능을 가진 외국인력 도입이 특히 필요하다고 지정하는 분야에 종사하려는 사람
a. A person who plans to engage in a field designated by the Minister of Justice of ROK for the enhancement of national competitiveness by adopting foreign workers with professional knowledge/technology in accordance with a contract with a public or private institute in ROK
Non-Professional(E-9)
ㅇ 외국인근로자의 고용에 관한 법률의 규정에 의한 국내 취업요건을 갖추어 제조업체,건설공사업체, 농업,
축산업, 어업(연/근해어업, 양식어업, 소금채취업) 등에 취업하는 사람
a. A person who meets the employment requirements defined in the Employment of Foreign Workers Act and plans to work in a manufacture business, construction, agriculture or livestock industry, coastalㆍinshore fishery, sea farming, sea salt farming industry etc.
